Sitting in class

And I am BORED. I figured I'd take some time out of my recently ridiculously busy life and share some of my more recent thoughts. I recently heard that T-Mobile will be bought by AT&T for thirty nine billion dollars. Yeah, that's a lot of money. My biggest fear is that AT&T and Verizon will now have over 70% of the market and a duopoly of sorts will end up developing...not too good for anyone unless you're a major mobile network CEO.

What I've been wondering is how this will affect the T-Mobile clients (such as myself) that must transfer over and at first thought it seemed pretty good. You know, larger data coverage, more support, etc but then it started to hit me; prices will most likely rise, I'm going to have to get a new phone and a brand new plan that will most likely screw me over hard. I guess we'll see what happens after the FCC and the appropriate groups approve this ridiculously huge buyout. I'm interested in hearing your thoughts, how do you think this will affect you even if you're not a T-Mobile or AT&T customer?

Hiatus

It feels as if it's been a while since I've been on here as well as just being active with blogspot in general. I've had so much thrown in my face as well as a ridiculous amount of traveling. It really isn't how I imagined my spring break would be -__-

Before I go back to the daily college routine tomorrow I just thought I'd check back in here and see what's good in the blogosphere.

But first things first. Here are some deals.

I honestly love anything with an alternative charging method and the solar power panel on this bad boy is no exception. Sd port, usb port and auxilary. Seems like this bad boy has it all and if you're actually interested you can get it here.
Don't deny your little one the chance to be the coolest horsie in school...

Bob Marley has never been so cute. Buy it for me? Please? I'll love you forever, promise.

I think those are enough cool buys for now, hopefully they made at least one person happy.

And I pray that everyone knows this already...time for those thieving companies to be exposed.

(click it to make it bigger btw).

Until next time, let's try to end our weekends on a high point!

So the weekend is pretty much here

And I think I'll kick it off my posting some daily deals along with a random thought (or two) of mine.

First daily deal:

To all my offended followers, I apologize but it was just too funny to pass up. I'm sure the majority of people reading this will know what a fleshlight is, but if not here ya go. I don't really get the soda thing...maybe it's to avoid embarrassment and allow you to take it out in public and not worry about people knowing you have a portable sex hole? Gotta love the name and the cum covered "grapes" though. If you're actually interested in purchasing it here's the link. It's 45% off!

I recently picked up Lupe Fiasco's new album "Lasers" and I know no one likes long reviews so I'll keep this short and sweet.

I can dig it. It's catchy, fun to just listen to and plain enjoyable. It's a bit different than what Lupe has put out before but it doesn't disappoint. His lyrics are still meaningful and you can really feel the whole "anti-government and anarchy" stance that he's taken (just look at the album cover). My advice would be to check it out.
Listen. Enjoy. Repeat.

Second daily deal:

For all my followers that didn't act quick enough on the lava watch yet still wanted to buy it here's an alternative.
And act quick this time! Here ya go. Only ten bucks!

Have a great weekend and stay safe!

Some late deals..

Every wanted to feel like you live in a strip club errr I mean a gentleman's club?

Well now you can
You know you want it, don't deny it.

Now this is a super cool watch. Sleek and looks like a bracelet so annoying strangers won't ask you what time it is. Yay!

I'm actually a little scared

This kid is gonna be a future Olympic gold medalist and will bring great pride to our country...or a druggie addicted to prostitutes and self loathing, really it can go both ways.

I also decided to buy myself some business cards just for the hell of having business cards. I feel that this is going to be one of the most rewarding decisions I have ever made. And yes, they are extremely boss.

Longest day ever.

I've been up since four o' clock this morning and I have not gotten any rest whatsoever so I apologize for skipping a post today, hope you guys understand.

In the mean time hopefully this will make you happy ;)

Cheers!

Really BYU? Don't be so naive.

Brigham Young University recently suspended their up and coming star forward Brandon Davies for violating the school's Honor Code. Now this is completely understandable, discipline is necessary in society or else everything would go to Hell in a hand basket. Because it's like James Madison once said, " If men were angels, no government would be necessary."  My only issue with this policy is that BYU needs to realize whom exactly they're dealing with here. These are college students, teenagers exploring the world while also exploring themselves and I doubt that what will be encountered during that exploration will abide by the BYU's Honor Code.

More information can be found here.

Adults only swim club?

An adults only swim club is opening in Philly and frankly, it sounds like a good idea. No longer will adults be forced to put up with boisterous children running amuck or obnoxious teenagers(of which I'd be categorized under) ruining their perfect pool time....well I hope it's worth it because a summer membership will cost upwards of 1000 dollars. Yeesh, now that's an expensive swim.

And if you thought of

When you read the title then congratulations, you win.

Eating? Yes, eating.

Ever since I moved away for college I've been cooking for myself whenever I get the chance, which tends to be whenever I'm home for dinner (I live off-campus). Besides the fact that I actually enjoy what cooking has to offer such as trying out new recipes and ideas along with a sense of accomplishment I love how much cheaper and healthier it is than eating out every night. Plus you know women love a man who can cook ;)

Anyway, my point is that through all of these one person sized portions that I've been preparing for myself I've developed a straight-forward and simple method of eating. I call it "right away". And that's pretty much it, as soon as the food is off of the oven-top it goes on a board to be cut then into my mouth :)

Now what I'm wondering is if this affects the nutritional aspect of the food in any way or if it's strictly a convenient method for one person eating. I highly doubt it affects any nutrition but hey, ya never know. The one thing that I do like is how I've really come to appreciate sit down dinners at a much much higher level than I once did so every so often I treat myself with one whenever I have time.

Gotta enjoy the little things in life!

Why Man U? WHY!? :'(

 I'm just heartbroken now.

My day was going pretty much o.k, not bad but not like whoop-de-do then I heard the news about my team losing and it went doooown. We're still on the top of the EPL but losing always hurts especially with a team that's been so dominant lately. No worries though...Glory Glory Man United!!!

As of late...

I'm dying for Spring Break. I NEED it to be here already, Those seven days of not having to worry about what class is next, if I completed the assignments for it and whether or not we have a surprise quiz thrown in our face as we walk in the door. Ah, it will be my little heaven.

And if you plan on doing the same thing as me don't forget to keep studying! A week of nothingness is enough to turn your brain into mush so be careful, especially those who have professors that like to give tests or quizzes just because they can....those jerks...

On an unrelated note, while perusing the internet I found this nice little board game that most of you internet fiends will no doubt recognize parts of.

Is it sad that I know pretty much every meme on here? Eh.

And to finish my random thoughts post...What is the deal with Charlie Sheen? Can someone please explain to me what's going on? Because all I know is that he's coco for cocoa puffs (as well as prostitutes) and now he's mad at everything.

One last thing (I promise!)
http://www.trueswords.com/
One of the coolest online stores with items that you thought would most likely be illegal to own. If you wanna spend money and love random weapons, combat related objects or just all around cool shit then you gotta check it out. Plus the prices aren't bad at all.

Daily deals for a crappy Monday

My Monday has started off like crap (like most Mondays). Stuck in school for 11 hours and way too much work that I keep avoiding, but that doesn't mean that your Monday has to suffer the same fate as mine! Here are some daily deals to possibly brighten up your day.

You love Sushi, You love Star Wars and most of all you love being the coolest guy at the Sushi Bar. Then congratulations you meet the requirements necessary to own Star Wars chopsticks.

May the Force be with you and your sushi.

I used to have a Mac Mini with WAY too few usb ports that it was like a constant competition for all my usb related devices. I ended up having to get a usb hub  something similar to except it looked nowhere as cool as this little guy. Only 6 mangoes

More to come later. Happy Monday!

Sharing some swag.

Karmaloop is a great site for those people looking for unique,  fresh to death, and swaggerific clothing (as well as other accessories and cool stuff). I've gotten some sick clothing on there that always gets looks and leaves people asking where I get my stuff. Albeit some of the stuff is out of my price range if you just wait or check the sale section you can definitely find some awesome deals.

On a side note if you're one of those social entrepreneurs they even have a program that can earn you free swag if you decide to become a rep. (I'm not really into that whole thing)

I'm about to go to sleep.

And on an unrelated note I found these cool earphones online. They probably suck like crap (like most other headphones at this price) but at least they can at least look unique and shiny and bullet-ey whilst sucking like crap.

Sleep that knits up the ravelled sleave of care
The death of each day's life, sore labour's bath
Balm of hurt minds, great nature's second course,
Chief nourisher in life's feast. -My favorite sleep quote

Goodnight.

I'm now officially convinced..

..that I sleepwalk, I just woke up to find my milk in the pantry next to the cereal. Wtf? Is it bad that I'm more worried about losing half a gallon of milk than the fact that I have no idea how the milk got there?

Saturday, February 26, 2011

DID YOU KNOW...

..That acne can be substantially reduced if not cured by placing a freshly washed towel over your pillow each night?

...That if you need more time to write that paper or essay just take an mp3, jpeg, or any other file and rename it "Paperthat'sdue".doc and send it to your professor. The file will appear to be corrupt and you just earned yourself some extra time.

...That pressing all four corner buttons on a credit card machine reboots it?

...That there is a right way and a WRONG way to open a banana? Learn the right way (hint: watch a monkey do it).

That's it for now. My body is so dead yet it still hurts, no fair at all.

Weekend deals (Part 1?)

I have no idea how well this USB Cup Warmer works but for the sweet price of 7 mangos it seems like it would be worth checking out, far too often have I taken a sip of my hot tea only to find out that it decided it would prefer to become cold tea.

I have one of these Amazing gadgets and I have to say even though I look like a dweeb I am one awesome dweeb, totally worth it. Plus it's a great conversation starter.

I just bought it, for 5 mangos you really can't go that wrong. I'll post a review after I try it out.

BOGO for any meal at Chipotle (yum!)

Just watch the 90 second video and print out the coupon that's shown afterward, you can take your loved one out for a cheap date or if you're perfectly lonely (yes, that was a John Mayer reference) then you just got yourself some tasty leftovers.

A little invention idea I had.

It's an easy situation to imagine and it's probably happened to you; you and a few friends order a pizza and there's that one slice left over. It stares you all of you straight in the face and everyone wants it. After some back and forth conversations one of you eventually gets it but congratulations, you're now the fat ass of the group. Now this situation could have easily been avoided if you had the MagicTray9000 (product name pending). Using the simple up and down water and foodproof arrows located on the front you can choose how many slices you desire via the lcd display and voila, the led lights lining the outside of the tray brighten up to indicate where slices need to be made to get however perfectly even slices you desire so that everyone will be happy, food riots and circular food related arguments will now be a thing of the past!

And that's it, maybe it's already been invented, maybe it's going to be in every American home in a few years. If you decide to invent it all I ask is for a thank you (and of course a free MagicTray900!).

“A dictatorial regime is destined to collapse”

News of the recent Middle Eastern protests has been sent to South to North Korea in the form of thousands of flyers attached to helium balloons in an attempt to topple the Communist regime led by Kim Jong Il. Who knows what this recent action may spark but all I can say is that it leaves me with a better feeling about this giant rotating ball we all live on.

10 dollars (or less) daily deals

Major security benefits without the ridiculous costs, enough said.
Realistic dummy dome security camera
(Or if you have money to blow then get the real thing at a good price 4 Channel CCTV Security Camera DVR System)

I recently had these same wipers installed on my car (not at this price though) because my wipers were going bad and it was really starting to affect my driving. After purchasing them and watching the Discount Auto Parts Associate install them on my car, I had an instant mental facepalm. Initially I was worried about how difficult the installation would be but it turned out to be the easiest thing ever. I should've just ordered them online and done it myself for a fraction of the price. If these fit your car then I would definitely recommend them. Super quiet and they work like a charm.

Stay informed.

What's going on in Libya:A great read if you've been in the dark and want to catch up.

Trouble in Ivory Coast:Heavy fighting in Ivory Coast over election possibly evoking civil war.

Christchurch Disaster:The death toll still rising.

Meat? meat :)

I recently went out for lunch with a buddy of mine and I was a bit surprised when I found out that he didn't even know the difference between well and rare when he was asked how he wanted his burger done. This got me thinking...How many people don't "know their meat" like my unnamed friend here? I have decided to take action, it is now one of my many missions to rid the world of meat related ignorance. Here is my first step.
